Sponsoring a specific project will offer you the chance of bringing you closer to our work on the ground so you can see exactly how your donation makes a difference. You will receive regular and detailed reports and we can organise site visits for you to witness your project first hand.

 What your money can do in empowering a child or OVC family

€5  provides a child with basic medication for treated diseases for one month

€1  can facilitate the testing of one person for HIV/AIDS

€2  can transport a child, a pregnant woman or an old woman to a health centre

€15  can sustain a LUCOF Village Health Team for a whole day

€100  covers the cost of one medical personnel for a week

€75 can organize a village sensitization workshop on malaria, HIV and community development

€5  buys a mosquito net that protects children and adults, particularly pregnant women from getting malaria

€75  treats 45 children infected with jiggers or tungiasis parasite, enabling them to walk again and attend school regularly

€2500  trains 50 teachers in the LUCOF child and youth health and HIV education with key health knowledge and skills that can benefit many community schools

€5  provides a balanced diet to a vulnerable child for a full week

€25  provides a balanced diet to a poor family of five for a whole week

€10  helps set up an organic and vegetable garden in an OVC household

€25  enables a vulnerable girl to attend school month around through the provision of a year’s supply of sanitary towels

€30  provides schools with water containers for children to wash their hands

€300  trains ten community child welfare mentors, providing them with the skills to identify and help vulnerable children, protecting them from abuse

€25  provides 50 chicks to a community group for poultry rearing, egg consumption and sale

€325  trains ten people to establish ten organic gardens supporting 100 household and other community members

€400  buys 6 goats to help fight poverty in families

€5000  provides ten schools with water tanks and irrigation kits, vital for helping regular water availability in a school, as well as  the running of LUCOF child club organic gardens, benefiting 1000 children and their families with regular nutritious vegetables

€3  can set up a hygiene drying rack in a home to improve hygiene by drying up of utensils

€2  sets up a tippy tap in a school to facilitate hand washing for children

€5  helps provide a dustbin in a school for proper hygiene and environmental management

€25  provides a bicycle to a school going child

€4  provides shoes to a vulnerable school going child

€100  organises a sexual and reproductive health seminar for 100 youth in a village seminar

€500  organises a youth camp for a full week for 80 youth in life skills and development

€40  sponsors a vulnerable youth in high school for tuition and other provisions for a month

€300  sponsors a youth in a vocational school for the whole year

€230  sponsors a university vulnerable student for a full semester for tuition

€100  organises an entrepreneurial training seminar for 100 youth

€20  makes 20 litres of liquid soap for fighting youth poverty

€35  starts a candle manufacturing business for a vulnerable youth

€35  starts a food packaging business to develop youth entrepreneurship

€15  provides 5O Aloe Vera seedlings for business and fighting malaria

£150 can help conduct a village health awareness seminar for about 70 women
